How we do it
Check the door
We look at the wood, the old finish and any damage, and agree the colour or tone you want.
Protect and sand back
Hinges, handles and the surrounding wall and floor are protected. The old finish is sanded back to sound wood.
Repair and stain if needed
Small dents and cracks are filled and colour matched, and stain is applied if you want a different tone.
Apply varnish coats
Several thin coats are applied with light sanding between, then left to cure.

Can you varnish an HDB main door?
Yes. We only refinish the surface and do not alter the door itself. Tell us if there are any rules from your town council or estate that apply.
How long before I can use the door normally?
The door can usually be closed the same day. Full hardness takes a few days, so we advise light use at first.
Can you change the colour?
Yes. We can go darker or lighter within what the wood allows. We show a sample first.
