How we do it
Check the floor
We check the thickness, loose strips, gaps and old finish to see how much sanding it can take.
Protect and sand
Doors and walls are protected, and the floor is sanded with a machine connected to a dust extractor.
Repair and fill
Small gaps and damage are filled and colour matched.
Varnish and cure
Several coats are applied with light sanding between, then left to cure before furniture goes back.

Can I stay in the unit during polishing?
It is better not to, because of the sanding dust, varnish smell and the curing time. We plan it room by room if you must stay.
How long before I can walk on it?
Usually light foot traffic after a day. Furniture goes back after a few days. We tell you the schedule on the quote.
Can every parquet floor be sanded?
Solid parquet can usually be sanded several times. Thin engineered boards have limits, so we check the thickness first.
