Box up

Hide exposed pipes, drain stacks, trunking and awkward corners behind a neat box finished to match the wall. We build in access panels, so plumbing can still be reached when needed.

How we do it

  1. Check the pipes

We check the pipes and valves, and plan where an access panel is needed.

  2. Build the frame

A light timber or metal frame is built around the pipes.

  3. Board and access panel

Boards close the box, with a removable panel where servicing is needed.

  4. Finish

Joints are skimmed and painted to match, and the area cleaned.

What affects the price

  • Height and number of boxes
  • Size of pipes and trunking
  • Material (plasterboard, timber, moisture-resistant)
  • Painting or tiling the finish

Questions

Can plumbers still reach the pipes?

Yes. We plan access panels at valves and joints so repairs do not mean breaking the box.

Can the box be tiled in a bathroom or kitchen?

Yes, with moisture-resistant boards and tiling. See our tiling service.

Will it make the room smaller?

A little. We keep the box as slim as the pipes allow.
