How we do it

  1. Find the cause

We check for leaks from above, such as a pipe or a neighbour's unit, because repairing the board will not help if the leak continues.

  2. Remove the damaged part

Wet or sagging boards are cut out carefully.

  3. Patch and fix

New board is fixed to the frame, joints taped and skimmed smooth.

  4. Prime and paint

A stain-blocking primer and paint match the rest of the ceiling.

What affects the price

  • Size of the damaged area
  • Whether the leak source is fixed
  • Whether the frame needs repair
  • Repainting the whole ceiling for a uniform finish

Every job is different, so we quote after seeing the site, or from your photos for simple jobs. The quote is itemised and free.

Questions

Will the stain come back after repair?

Not if the leak is fixed and a stain-blocking primer is used. We tell you if the source still needs attention.

Can you fix the leak that caused it?

If it is a pipe in your unit, yes, with our plumbing service. If it comes from a neighbour or common pipe, we advise who to contact.

How long does a patch repair take?

Usually one visit, then time for the paint to dry.
